Clock Speed Vs Bus Speed:

The Clock Speed is measured simply by the number of ticks per second in the clock. The clock speed  is used in personal computers and personal devices like cell phones etc. on the other hand bus speed also contains clock speed. Like a processor developers use the speed of the clock for bus in hertz.

Difference Between Cock Speed and Bus Speed

Clock Speed:

The clock speed is the pace of the clock. Clock speed is simply measured by the no of ticks in a second. It is used in personal computers in gigahertz range. In simple words giga stands for billion. And hertz means one cycle per second in a clock. So it means a gigahertz is equal to one billion ticks of a clock per second. In computers it is used in this principal for example a computer which operates at 2 GHz contains 2 billion clock cycles in a second. Now you may be thinking whats the logic behind this speed? So the answer is simple the faster the clock speed of the computer the faster it will process. Or in simple words the processing power of your computer depends directly on its clock speed.

Bus Speed:

Every bus speed contains clock speed. One mega hertz means one million ticks per second. Now a days bus speed is used in modern processors because it is more fast than clock speed and helps the computer to operate more quickly.

Main Difference between Clock Speed and Bus Speed:

Clock speed is a pace of your system clock and bus speed contains clock speed the only difference between the two is a processor with a bus speed with be more powerful and fast than a processor with a clock speed. Now a days mostly processors have bus speed.
