Difference between Azimuth and Bearing

Azimuth Vs Bearing:

Usually, Azimuth refers to the direction or expression provided by the compass whereas a bearing is general because it is an angle of separation between two points. Azimuth is always in respect to a horizontal plane whereas on the other hand bearing is always expressed in degrees or mils but azimuth is not always expressed in degrees.

Bearing is a general term and usually expresses many meanings and uses, based on its applications. In simple language, the bearing is defined as an angle of separation between two points. Bearing is usually expressed in mils or degrees. The direction of bearing is usually north or south.
